Ronald Reagan
President USA
1981-1988
As l
set at my desk, We had Washington and
Lincoln,
I take pen in hand. And yes
Teddy too
To try and pay tribute And among these great men
To an American man.
We also place
you.
He took charge of his office, You've made a great mark
In nineteen eighty-one. Your lifeline is straight.
Pledged a
strong country And you’re assured of a place
They said it could not be done. Among history's
great.
Instead
of appeasement, With a sense for the future
And
turn the other cheek. And a knowledge of our past.
He built up
our Army You made tough decisions,
And said, we would not be beat. That well forever last.
His enemies laughed, You freed the whole world
And tried to belittle. In a time when l
lived.
They were a little like Nero Its been an
honor to witness,
And his famous fiddle. The things that you did.
But he stood like a rock As you l have served
And faced them
all down.
My country and man.
And the whiner’s and nay Sayers So l feel over miles
Knew a man
was in town. I can extend you my hand
He gave a tax break, to workers. And when this life's over.
Put
new weapons over seas. And we both cross the divide.
And because he was strong, I'd be honored and privileged
He brought our enemy’s, to there
knee's. To stand at
your side.
So all American citizens Thank You
Who love this free land?
We backed up our president James H Walker
And all gave him a hand. Copyright ã 2001 all rights reserved.
For we know that he cared
For this land
and it's people.
And he was a symbol to us
Like a church with a steeple.
We elected him twice
And then he was gone.
And the world then returned,
To a much darker dawn.
So President Reagan.
On behalf
of this land.
I stand up to applaud you,
A really great man.
